SSC CGL Tier-I Written Exam Pattern: Staff
Selection Commission is an organization under Government of India to recruit
staff for various posts in various ministries and Departments. In that Common
Grade Level (CGL) is one of the major recruitment processes which consist of
four phases, namely Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III & Data Entry Skill test/Computer Proficiency test. Here we
discuss about the first phase of SSC Common Grade Level recruitment process
that is Tier – I online Exam Pattern. The candidates who are interested to get

Recruitment Process of SSC
Common Grade Level: SSC Common Grade Level recruitment process starts with
Tier – I online test. The Tier – I exam is for all category posts, the
candidates who will qualified in Tier – I will get chance to participate in
next phase that is Tier – II. Tier- II online objective exam consists of three Papers:
Paper- I, Paper – II and Paper – III. Paper – I and Paper – II is common for
all category posts but Paper – III is only for Statistical Investigator &
compiler. Tier-III Descriptive test is added recently in the SSC CGL Recruitment. the candidates who were qualified in Tier-I , Tier-II and Tier-III will be invited for Tier-IV that is Data Entry Skill test/Computer Proficiency test.

Exam Pattern of SSC CGL Tier-I: now SSC CGL Tier-I exam is computer based. Tier-I Exam Pattern is
objective type and negative marking system is applicable for each wrong answered
question. Tier – I Exam consists of four sections 50 marks for each with 1
hour 15 Minutes time duration. The candidates have to qualify in each section based on
the required cut off decided by the organization. The section of Tier – I
written exam is General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness,
Quantitative Aptitude and English comprehension. We provided below the SSC
